Sarah Magazine Executive Director, Network Angels
Vice President, External Affairs, The MENTOR Network
As vice president for external affairs, Sarah oversees marketing, government, community and media relations, proposal development and corporate philanthropy for The MENTOR Network. She also serves as executive director of The MENTOR Network Charitable Foundation and Network Angels, The Network’s emergency assistance fund for employees and independent contractors. Sarah serves on the board of directors of ANCOR, the national trade association for I/DD providers.
Prior to joining The Network in 2007 as director of media and public affairs, Sarah was the communications director and political advisor at a foundation focused on supporting women in politics. She has also served in the Office of the Governor of Massachusetts as deputy press secretary. Active in the community, Sarah serves as an Overseer for the Boston Children’s Museum, is a member of the Board of Advocates for the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is a board member of Spur, an organization based on the North Shore of Massachusetts that organizes meaningful volunteer experiences for individuals, families and youth of all ages. She holds an M.A. in journalism from Northeastern University and a B.A. in policy studies from Dickinson College.
